Let’s look back at the memorable moments of Team ECO Solutions at the Mid-Autumn lantern-making competition with the theme ‘Recycling’!

A big thank you to Amanaki for organizing such a meaningful yet unique competition. It created a fun playground for everyone to participate in, helping the teams spread the message of ‘Protecting the environment’ through their creations, while also fostering team bonding after stressful work hours. Thanks to great teamwork and a little bit of luck, Team ECO was able to win first prize in this competition.

Team ECO Solutions participated with a lantern model named ‘Lục Liên Ngư’.

  • ‘Liên Ngư’: The images of the Lotus and the Carp are two very familiar folk symbols in Vietnam. We chose these two images to represent the perseverance to rise, despite going through difficult times, and the spirit of never giving up.
  • ‘Lục’: The green color – not just a color, but it also embodies our core green-living spirit.

The green-living and recycling spirit is reflected in the materials used. We made the fish body from plastic bottles as the base, covered with corn husks. The lotus was also made from corn husks. Moreover, we had new and very young members, and through this activity, we wanted to give the youth a different perspective on waste and recycling.

This time is a difficult period for the northern provinces, as they are battling storms and floods. Through our lantern model, we also wish to send a bit of warmth from the Mid-Autumn atmosphere and a message of encouragement to our beloved northern region to stay strong and get through this challenging time!
