“Cooking to Green” – Campaign at ECO Solutions Office

Welcome to the “Cooking to Green” campaign at ECO Solutions! This special initiative not only promotes healthy and safe lunch options but also helps reduce waste. Here’s how it works and the benefits it brings:

Campaign Goals:

  • Improve Nutrition: Encourage employees to prepare nutritious and safe lunches.
  • Reduce Waste: Promote the use of natural ingredients and minimize single-use plastics.
  • Enhance Connection: Foster employee interaction and relationship building.

How the Campaign Works:

  • Each day, one team member prepares lunch for the rest of the group, saving time and creating a diverse menu.
  • For larger teams, groups of 5-7 people can be formed to ensure better interaction and coordination.
  • Responsibility for lunch preparation rotates daily, giving everyone a chance to showcase their cooking skills.

Benefits of the Campaign:

  • Learning from Each Other: Employees can share recipes, cooking tips, and knowledge of healthy eating.
  • Enhancing Skills: This activity allows Gen Z employees, who may not often cook, to practice and discover their own cooking talents.
  • Promoting Sustainability: Preparing meals at home helps reduce waste and emissions:
    • A reusable container for shared food reduces packaging waste compared to ordering takeout.
    • Food waste from preparation and leftovers is recycled using the office’s food waste recycling machine.
    • Portions are prepared appropriately, reducing food waste.
